Our focus at Distinguished Expressions Fine Art Portraiture is to create portraits that are unique, emotional and personally important for each of our subjects. To that end we incorporate a variety of art mediums: classic photography, state of the art technology and traditional paint on canvas. We have extensive backgrounds in classical arts and are internationally acclaimed experts in today’s photographic and fine art technologies.
Our Executive Portraits are the highest quality so your image will attract the types of clients you want to reach out to. We choose a location, clothing and photographic style that represents your industry and your personality. We study your face and natural mannerisms, then create lighting and posing that is natural and the most flattering to you. The photo session is short, but we shoot until we know we have the right image for you. We do not use plug ins or fast processing for retouching your face; we meticulously and delicately retouch you by hand to ensure that you look your natural best: clothing, hair, jewelry, expression – without looking artificial or over retouched. You receive unlimited use of your portrait, pre sized for print and web in both color and black and white.
Our Fine Art Portraiture is all about YOU! We’ll help you with the concept and once we’re solid on what we want to do, you’ll have fun finding the clothing and accessories and we’ll do all of the footwork and set up in order to ensure you have a great session experience. The photo shoot will be both structured and fluid; if we have a definite image in mind, we’ll create it with attention to every detail, and then we’ll let go and become spontaneously creative together. Bring your ideas to the party, too!
After, we’ll pre edit the images, and if we are composting, create an artist proof for us to go over together and make any refinements we deem appropriate. Our finished portraits begin with our impeccable retouching and may also include a full variety of both traditional and digital media, depending on what the original concept was, and what the desired end result is. We are internationally awarded portrait photographers and photographic artists, but we don’t overdo it – sometimes a simple photograph says it all.
Finished portraits may be printed on professional quality photo papers, canvas, or archival heavy fine art paper. Large portraits may be mounted on archival lightweight boards or stretched on canvas framing. We support a professional local lab and also use a Master Fine Art Printer. You will receive a web size, copyrighted and watermarked file of ordered portraits that you may share on your social media.
